Sep 07, 2026 - Sep 20, 2026
Local Vineyard Church

We are excited to invite you to join us in a powerful spiritual journey - our 14 Days of Prayer and Fasting, starting September 7th
What is the 14 Days of Prayer and Fasting?
For two weeks, we will dedicate ourselves to seeking God through prayer and fasting. This period is an opportunity for personal reflection, church growth, and communal prayer.

Why Participate?
This is more than just a tradition; it's a spiritual habit that allows us to set aside the hustle and bustle of daily life and focus on becoming like Jesus.
How to Get Involved

  • Daily Morning Prayer (M - F): Join us on Google Meet Monday to Friday at 6am for a 15min time of Prayer
  • Weekly Prayer Focus: We'll be sharing resources and encouragements throughout the 14 days to help guide your journey.
  • Community Support: Engage with others who are also walking this path. Share experiences, insights, and support each other in prayer & Fasting.

Everyone is Welcome

Whether you're new to fasting or have been practicing this habit for years, your participation is valuable.

We're excited to see how God moves in our lives and in our church during these 14 days.

  • How to do a Prayer Walk
  • First the do nots:
    • Do not pray loud through a neighborhood (this will be a negative testimony)
    • Do not play music loudly (against we want to bless a neighborhood, not draw negative attention
    • Do not walk in big groups, 2 to 4 max. Walking alone is just as effective.
  • The Dos:
    • Pray in your heart or softly outloud
    • If listening to worship music, listen to it in your airpods
    • Pray in the Spirit and ask God to give you words of encouragement
    • Smile and be kind to other neighbors you see on your walk
  • Prayer Model
    • P.R.A.Y
      • P - Pause
        • ask the Holy Spirit to be in your neighborhood. Ask the Holy Spirit to be with you. Slow down the busyness of your day, mind and heart and focus on God. “Come Holy Spirit” or “Father, give me eyes to see you”
      • R - Rejoice -
        • Start to thank God for the people who live in your neighborhood.
      • A - Ask -
        • Ask God to bless, give favor, bring healing, peace, joy and most importantly salvation to each person in your neighborhood
      • Y - Yield -
        • Pray God’s agenda over the neighborhood, yield to his will, whatever may come
    • W.A.L.K
      • Worship
        • As you set off walking begin with your eyes on Jesus. Say the name of Jesus; recite a Psalm; hum a worship song; basically anything that helps declare the Lordship of Jesus over the streets you walk on.
      • A – Ask
        • Peition God for His Spirit to fall on the streets you walk on, the homes, businesses, schools and other churches you walk
past. Begin to get specific and pray for people and situations.
      • L – Listen
        • As you worship and pray, leave space to listen to what God might
      • K - Know your Land
        • Get to know some of the current situations that require persevering prayer and also celebrate the particular graces that rest on the area, asking God to make your area a blessing beyond its borders.
  • Wanna pray for a business area? We recommend walking around the shopping and business areas of Midlothian Middle School
