At Local Vineyard Church, we believe serving our community is one of the most powerful ways to share God’s love. We’re partnering with Friends of Forest Hill Park to help care for and preserve one of Richmond’s most beautiful public spaces.
The mission of Friends of Forest Hill Park is to advocate for and preserve the park—focusing on its historic buildings and trails, native plants and wildlife, local watershed, and public spaces. Volunteers will help pull invasive non-native plants, such as English ivy, which threaten the native ecosystem. Removing these plants supports native growth, providing vital food and shelter for local birds, insects, and animals. Other light park maintenance may also be needed.
